2020 was a critical year around the globe. As we all contended with and confronted the COVID-19 pandemic, a host of interconnected challenges emerged that tested the strength and resilience of our communities. The structural inequities that placed Black, Indigenous, and people of colour at greater risk and exploitation were surfacing at a rapid rate after decades (and centuries) of denial. The discovery of unmarked graves at the former site of the Kamloops Residential School drew attention to the unfinished business of contending with colonialism and genocide. And the effects of the climate crisis became more palpable each day. Join us in conversation as we reflect on learning during, and through, these times of crisis, and the important connections to social, economic, and environmental justice.
